Annabelle Geggie, 27, early childhood teacher, and David Glen,33, investment banking manager.
The couple’s traditional ceremony took place at St Johns Anglican Church in Cooks Hill, in front of 170 family and friends.
Annabelle and David’s reception was held at Merewether Surfhouse in Newcastle, NSW, where breathtaking ocean views made for a relaxed and romantic feel. Memorable musical performances came courtesy of Annabelle’s brother and a close friend, plus an acoustic soloist and a DJ. A photobooth created a fun atmosphere for the night. “All of the guests loved it and had a turn getting their portrait snapped,” Annabelle says.
Annabelle’s show-stopping Sarah Janks slimline gown featured double duchess silk satin with a sheer silk tulle back, rosette and train. Her dress was complemented by a delicate tulle veil tucked into a low chignon.
The newlyweds indulged guests with a delectable four-tiered cake, comprising layers of white chocolate and raspberry, lemon and poppyseed, chocolate mud and caramel mud. This gorgeous creation was decorated with shell-pink ribbon and sugar flowers. Annabelle and David cut the cake using a silver knife that was given to the bride’s parents for their wedding, adding a family touch to proceedings.
