Eliza and Tim combined traditional sophistication with modern elegance for their special day. Here are some of the elements that helped to create their beautiful wedding.
WHO: Eliza Holyman, 28, and Tim Vesey, 29.
WHERE: Eliza and Tim exchanged vows in the historic St Luke’s Anglican Church in South Yarra.
RECEPTION: South Melbourne’s ultra-chic Luminare played host to the couple’s reception, offering a generous balcony area and spectacular city vistas.
BRIDE’S GOWN: The bride wore a striking Karen Willis Holmes gown that came with an intricate lace overlay and a removable peplum waist, providing two styles in one.
GROOM’S SUIT: Tim looked the part in a black morning suit paired with a white cravat from Trevor West.
CAKE: Eliza and Tim chose a three-tiered fruitcake adorned with ribbons and flowers.
BOMBONIERE: The couple presented their guests with piglet figurines that they’d picked up at a toy store to acknowledge Tim’s unusual proposal. In an elaborate exercise, he hired a piglet – one of Eliza’s favourite animals – and tied the ring around the pig’s neck, then set it free in their apartment. Fortunately for the couple, in different cultures the pig symbolises luck, abundance and fertility.
