We chatted to Peter Tancevski from Eye to Eye Photography about his photography style, what makes a good photographer and tips for finding the perfect one.
What is your photography style?
My style of natural documentary photography is very relaxed, concentrating on capturing each moment as it unfolds. I don’t like telling people what to do or how their wedding should be. I'm there to document those beautiful moments of their day.
What makes a good photographer?
A good photographer is one who has lots of experience, listens to their clients and always improves their work. It's important that you're not in it for the money. You can't just take a few good shots with a digital camera and say "I am a professional photographer” – you need to love your job and be honest with your clients.
Any tips for finding a photographer?
Don’t rush into booking someone because they have been recommended, or you have seen couple of good images on their website. Do some research into how they shoot on the day, how long they have been photographing (professionally) and ask questions so you know if they are suitable or capable of photographing your wedding. Make sure you understand the package you are paying for and what it includes. And finally, you need to trust your photographer so you can relax and enjoy your wedding day.
