Following a proposal in Bali, Hilary and Michael kept the good (tropical) times rolling and headed to Fiji with their family and friends in tow.
"Because we made the decision to have a destination wedding, I had to be prepared to take a step back and let the resort do what they knew how to do," says Hilary. "At the end of the day with a wedding location as beautiful as Fiji, it would have been hard for them to disappoint us!" The small, intimate feel of Hilary and Michael's big day started as soon as guests began to arrive and continued right up until the couple exchanged personalised vows. "The day before the wedding, we played barefoot bowls. It was so much fun and a great way for all the guests to get to know each other." The fun-filled atmosphere didn't stop at the reception. "After the celebrations on the beach had finished, we continued the party upstairs at the bar and danced well into the morning," Hilary explains. "The day after, we all went to a private beach and spent the day snorkelling and recovering - it was bliss."
