If you're looking for fabulous wedding ideas, then this couple's real wedding will blow your socks off. Set on the beautiful Albert Park Lake in Melbourne, the sleek, chic venue of Melbourne's Carousel set the tone perfectly for this divine lakeside affair.
For self-proclaimed perfectionists, wedding planning was a welcomed among both of their busy lives. “With the help of supportive family and some close friends, we made it all happen!” says Jordana.
Among many of their exciting wedding ideas, the couple aimed to integrate the bride’s Jewish traditions and Michael’s Catholic upbringing into their wedding planning. The couple said their vows beneath a white chuppah within the marquee, a Jewish custom that symbolises the home the couple will build together. They then read blessings in Hebrew and held a candle-lighting ceremony to honour the groom’s family background. In doing so, the couple seamlessly succeeded in paying tribute to both of their families, while at the same time creating new traditions of their own.
Throughout the day, a feeling of softness and simple elegance enhanced the romance between the couple. Flowerpots and vases of baby’s breath were featured in the chuppah and throughout the reception. Bringing wedding fashion to its knees, the bride looked stunning in a Suzanne Harward gown perfectly capturing the feminine look that she longed for. The high-waisted bodice was intricately detailed with lace, silk and tulle, complemented by a flowing silk skirt and subtle train.
The couple’s most memorable moment came with their first dance to Al Green’s, Let’s Stay Together. “Just being able to have that time alone with my new husband and soak up everything that had taken place was incredible. We danced like no one was watching and, as our nerves subsided, we got a chance to fall in love a little more,” the bride says. The couple began their new journey as Mr and Mrs Carollo before jetting off on their honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
