A vision in a satin silk couture wedding dress by Helen English, Nicola paired her vintage-style dress with an intricately beaded headpiece. The bride’s swept-up hair and minimal makeup suited the tropical surrounds beautifully. The bouquet added a fun pop of colour with bright pink, green and light pink flowers contrasting the four bridesmaids’ blue dresses.
The wedding was organised by the lovely team at Take us to Thailand and was held at a private residence in Koh Samui. The couple, the bridal party and guests stayed at the secluded venue in luxurious bungalows. Factoring in the heat, the couple provided each guest with a bamboo fan and all the girls received a parasol.
To keep guests entertained between the ceremony and the reception, the couple organised a round of croquet under the palm trees. Even more special were the fireworks released on the beach at the end of the couple’s big day.
Ceremony and reception
The couple got hitched beneath a magnificent arbor (a wooden arch) overlooking the ocean. The reception was held at YL residence where the pair surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance to a swing version of Wonderwall by Oasis.
