Alexandra’s first task was to find the perfect wedding dress. She looked divine in a silk Luomo gown and Dahto shoes paired with earrings, a brooch and bracelet from Tessarella House. Her five bridesmaids each wore cocktail dresses made from georgette silk in soft lavender.

Alexandra and Gerald were married at McKell Park in Darling Point. The bride made her way down a garden path in lieu of an aisle and a civil celebrant performed the ceremony.  Afterwards, the happy couple and their guests headed to L’Aqua to celebrate the nuptials. Alexandra’s mother put her newly developed floral skills to work decorating the venue with lilies and roses. The affair had a garden theme, with plenty of greenery and flowers bringing the great outdoors inside for the celebrations. The couple even gave each of their guests a seed to plant so the joy of the day could continue in their gardens.

Instead of place settings, the couple allowed their guests to sit anywhere on their allocated tables, encouraging them to mix, mingle and dance. The pair made their own placecards and bomboniere, giving the reception a personal touch. After a fantastic meal and formal speeches, the bride’s father serenaded the couple with a rendition of I Just Called To Say I Love You.

Alexandra and Gerald escaped to Thailand after their wedding for a two-week honeymoon, staying in Phuket, Koh Samui and Bangkok soaking up the culture and the sunshine.
