Rita Cohann Civil Celebrant

A celebrant who makes getting hitched a blast.

Why we love Rita Cohann Civil Celebrant

Rita Cohann is a self-confessed hopeless romantic, so it comes as little surprise when she says being a civil celebrant is her dream job. For Rita, being a civil celebrant is inspiring, fulfilling, exciting and full of surprises.

Rita is a Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant so is able to legally conduct marriages anywhere in Australia, plus in Australian waters and territories. Rita can also conduct vow renewal services, commitment ceremonies, same-sex unions, baby namings, memorials and other life events. As an extra bonus, Rita can speak Italian and French (she’s conducted ceremonies in both before) and is up for learning phrases or sentences in other languages. With Rita as your celebrant, you have the freedom to be as creative as you like with your service, whether that means getting your pooch involved, arranging a flash mob choir, arriving on a bike or having a cultural ceremony. Rita will take care of the legal requirements, but the rest is up to you.

Thanks to her background as a theatre and drama teacher, Rita knows how to hold an audience. She also knows what it takes to make a service fun, fresh and interesting. With Rita presiding over your ceremony, it definitely won’t be boring. When you book Rita, your package includes a bucketload of resources (all bundled in a super handy folder for you), a PA system and sound assistant. Rita wears a Madonna-style microphone, can supply a lapel mic for the groom and is available for a full rehearsal at the venue (if possible).

With Rita as your celebrant, you have the freedom to be as creative as you like with your service, whether that means getting your pooch involved, arranging a flash mob choir, arriving on a bike or having a cultural ceremony.
