Why we love Terindah Estate
In Indonesian, the name of this 100-acre property roughly translates to ‘most beautiful’, and how accurate that description is. There's the impeccably manicured ceremony lawn, and the stunning views of Corio Bay, the You Yangs, and the nearby wheat and barley fields – enter the perfectly rustic wedding photo. You also have exclusive access to the estate’s private beach. That’s right, here you can have the best of a coastal and vineyard wedding. Bonus: it’s only an 80-minute drive from Melbourne. For those making the trip, the estate can arrange for bus transportation and even helicopter arrivals.
Terindah Estate’s shed has all the trademarks of a dream wedding space: floor-to-ceiling windows (cue a #nofilter backdrop), large doors to welcome in the sea breezes, wooden furniture and two adjoining courtyards. The Shed can accommodate intimate seated celebrations of 80 guests, with a mezzanine level for your live band, string quarter or DJ. A larger event space has room for 220 guests, and you can deck it out however you choose. Terindah Estate can provide long or round tables, wooden feature tables, easels and a floating dance floor for you to make the most of. The space has exposed wooden beams too, which can be used to suspend chandeliers, bare lightbulbs or hanging floral installations.
The team at Terindah Estate understand you probably aren’t interested in a cookie-cutter wedding package, so they specialise in custom offerings. You’ll be treated to a dedicated wedding coordinator, too. If that wasn’t temptation enough to book your wedding at Terindah Estate, how about this: the food here is just as good as those views. Expect menus that feature local, seasonal produce and ingredients from the Estate’s own garden. And psst, the wine is top-notch too.
